The massive construction of Castle Schenna above Merano, with its partially visible surrounding castle moat. Over a bridge you reach the entrance of Castle Schenna, and pass by the dungeon in the courtyard. There, an open staircase leads into the castle rooms.
Castle Schenna in South Tyrol can be visited up to the wing with the private rooms of the Count’s family. The halls and the majestic rooms lodge the paintings and portrait gallery, a collection of weapons and numerous art-historical objects of the Tyrolean history.

Visits from March/April to October/Nov exclusively with showing round
at 10.30 a.m., 11.30 a.m., 14.00 p.m. and 15.00 p.m.
Groups visit with prior notification at any time.
